About Us

Crazy Chester is a 3-piece band consisting of guitar, bass guitar, and drums that plays classic rock and country hits that people recognize and dance to.  

The Beatles, Dwight Yoakum, CCR, Tracy Byrd, Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Cash, The Eagles, Randy Travis, Sam Cooke, Traveling Wilburys, Sammy Kershaw, Ricky Nelson, and Elvis Presley are some of the artists the band covers.  It performs classic as well as contemporary tunes to balance its repertoire.  People often comment positively on the eclectic song choices. The band is passionate about the music, and it shows when it is before a live audience.

The band performs for events and venues of all types, including outdoor civic events, corporate events, weddings, birthday and retirement parties, winery entertainment, harvest festivals, and nightclubs. Crazy provides stage lighting and a professional sound system with sound engineer for performances.

Miguel, Jay, and Dale each bring a wealth of experience from previous bands.  Miguel Fierro is a long-time Sacramento guitarist and singer who has a deep appreciation for early the early years of  rock  & roll and R &B, especially the Sun Records era that spawned Elvis and other great artists. Miguel likes taking long walks with his dog finding historic items along an old creekbed.  Jay Beaumont on bass guitar is a veteran of the Seattle/Pacific Northwest rock scene who enjoys providing the rhythmic groove of songs along with drummer Dale Price, a southern California musician & transplant who recently joined the group. Dale's hobbies include making beautiful baskets from tree needles. 

Crazy Chester is known for its tight musicianship and great harmonies. Crazy Chester provides an enjoyable time for the music listeners and dancers who attend our events.   

Crazy Chester followed me, and he caught me in the fog. Said, "I will fix your rack, if you'll take Jack my dog". I said, "Wait a minute Chester - you know, I'm a peaceful man". He said, "That's okay, boy, won't you feed him when you can."
